Reasons
I have lived in the United States all my life. In 2012 I took a job in Abu Dhabi. It was the scariest, rewarding leap of faith I've ever taken. I spent four years in the UAE, came back to the States and now I'm in another GCC.
I've learned a lot. Mostly I've learned that no matter how many plans I make, no matter how meticulous I am in making said plans and no matter what I plan, the Almighty is in control.
This is my story.
I've been divorced for 26 years. I reared a successful daughter without her father and when it was all said and done, I was lost. For the most part of my young life, I only knew one thing, raising my daughter, keeping a roof over her head and the other things that come with life.
When my daughter graduated high school I was lost. I cried for two weeks when she went off to university. She was only 45 minutes away, but rearing her was I all knew.
After working a truckload of shit jobs I applied for and got a job in Abu Dhabi, UAE. I lived there for four years. My book goes into some detail about my time there (Crazy is forever following me: My life and adventures in the Arabian Gulf). I self-published my book and it has probably sold about 50 copies as of this date. And those sales are mostly friends.
I started this blog to post the adventures I face now. I think I may have a hint of crazy in me because crazy really does follow me! Please join me in this new adventure. I try to stay positive in my writing with a hint (sometimes) of life learning.
I look forward to sharing with you all!!!
